Just closed my search fund raise at €450K from 12 investors. The whole process took 5 months. Here are my key takeaways:
1. Start with your warmest contacts — alumni network was gold
2. Have a clear thesis before approaching investors
3. Be transparent about your experience gaps
4. The pitch deck matters less than the 1-on-1 conversations
5. Follow up relentlessly but respectfully
Happy to answer any questions from those in the fundraising stage!

Congrats on the close! How did you handle investors who wanted board seats? With 12 investors, I imagine governance could get complicated.
