How many investors should a traditional search fund have?

Getting different advice on this. Some say 10-15 investors for diversification, others say keep it tight at 6-8 for easier governance. From the investor perspective — do you prefer being one of 8 or one of 15? From searchers who've raised — what was your optimal number? How did it affect board dynamics and decision-making speed?
