DACH vs. UK market — where to focus my search?

I'm an INSEAD MBA with equal familiarity in both markets (German mother, grew up in London). Currently debating where to focus my search. Pros of DACH: Larger SME market, Mittelstand tradition, less competition from PE Pros of UK: English-speaking, more established SF ecosystem, easier legal structure For those who have searched in either market — what's your honest assessment? Which has better deal flow for a first-time searcher?

I searched in Germany. Pros: amazing deal flow once you're in the network. Cons: longer sales cycles, sellers want to know you personally before serious talks. Budget 6+ months more than you would in the UK. But the quality of companies is exceptional.
